Brief history:
The Village Ballarat drive-in was a partnership between Village and Jack Anderson. The construction was typical of the Village country drive-in circuit. This drive-in waged a battle for years with the Hoyts Skyline Ballarat. Initially the going was tough for the Village but as product supply improved, so did the fortunes of the Village location. Ultimately it outlasted the Skyline. This drive-in was always maintained in immaculate condition, which was unusual for country drive-ins, particularly in later years. The site is now occupied by housing.
